H20 is key

I have found that my water intake is slightly higher than most peoples. But, lets face it - I have been dieting long enough to know that water is the best thing you can do for your body. On the HCG diet, I am loving my water! I drink about 100 oz a day and feel great! I also notice a big difference on the scale on days I dont get all my water in. So, drink up my friends! It is great for your health! Check out this article on the benefits of water!

thank GOD for gum and diet coke - on a Steak day!

Ok, I had to have my first Steak Day Monday. After celebrating my hubbies 30th Bday on Saturday and having a few beers (even though I did good food wise) I ended up 2.2 over my LDW, so...the inevitable steak day was upon me! I talked to Dotti, and she said we could have diet coke, my lemonade or tea (made with Stevia), water and even sugarfree gum to get by. So, I decided rather than making myself miserable I would enjoy my gum and a diet coke to get me through until dinner. Reading that sentence back sounds funny! I NEVER missed a meal, before HCG. It was just something I NEVER did. Shockingly, I wasnt hungry on my steak day until about 4pm. I did chew one full pack of sugarfree gum throughout the day and I did enjoy a diet coke as well as my 100 oz of water. I will say, at 4pm when the hunger hit, it hit hard. I waited until about 530 and then Brian made my steak on the grill. I followed Dotti's advice and got the "biggest steak I could find". I also picked my favorite cut of meat which is a T-bone. I did trim the excess fat off, but I didnt worry about the fat that was marbled in, I just enjoyed it! I ate it all followed by an apple. The next day I was down 2.8 lbs! I will tell you, it wasnt that bad BUT I will also add, I hope I dont have to do another one anytime soon :) Good luck HCGers! More to come tomorrow!

Ok, where should I start...oh! I know, P2

First of all, it goes without saying I LOVED my load days (aka, gorge days). I wont go into detail to spare those of you on the diet now from drooling over the thought of what I ate, but I will say this...I loaded properly. I enjoyed it, but at the end of the second day, I was ready to move on and start loosing - and that I did! Day 1 on P2 was not fun. I was hungry, had a headache, was grumpy, and felt like there was no way I could do this diet. However, I am happy to report that after two days I was feeling great! Of course I was a little hungry the whole time on P2, but I was not starving and thinking non-stop about food. I also planned to start a few "projects" I had been meaning to get to while on P2, so I was busy. It worked AND I got things done and felt productive! My weight D1 of P2 was 190.4! I hated seeing that number, but the good thing was I knew it was going no where but down! The next day D2, I was down to 187.4!!! My first week on the diet was amazing and I had lost over 8 lbs! I didnt cheat AT ALL! I was very proud of myself for having the motivation and the willpower to do it. I continued through P2, loosing a good amount each day. I would say my average daily loss was .6 or more and throughout the journey I did have a few 1 lb+ days. That was a GREAT way to keep me motivated! My menu was pretty basic (as it always is on P2). I dont eat fish or seafood, so it was a limited menu but it was all I needed AND probably easier for me (being a mom of a young child) that I didnt have to think too much about what I got to eat. Cilantro & tomato Chicken, Beef with sauteed sweet onions, full fat cottage cheese, oranges, apples, celery, cucumber, salad, and meatballs were my menu. The only real "recipe" I used during this phase was the Cilantro & Tomato Chicken and it is just grilled chicken topped with diced tomatoes mixed with cilantro. I was able to find some seasonings that were Kroger brand and didnt contain any salt. Lemon Pepper, Chicken, Garlic and Onion and Garlic Powder were seasonings I used regularly. I WISH I would have read and known that some people can have Chocolate Delight on P2...I would have liked to try that. I love my chocolate! I also had melba rounds (2, 2x per day) and that was nice to feel like I was eating some carbs :) My total results for P2 were over 9" and 22 lbs in 36 days! I LOVED this diet and plan to do another round once I am done with P3 and my trip to Maui in July.

First Blog!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my HCG Blog. Today is the first day I am starting my blog. I am VERY excited to share my experience, opinions, recipes and ideas with you! First of all, a little about me. I am 26 years old and married with a son. I have been married to my husband Brian for five years and we have a two year old son Blake. I am a native to and currently live in Arvada, CO. I love Colorado and dont think I will ever move. I am a Realtor, which also allows me to be a stay at home mom most of the time and have been in that business for over ten years. I have been overweight most of my life, but the problem got worse after high school. I was dating my husband at the time and going out to restaurants too much and drinking too much and put on about 50 extra pounds over the course of three years or so. I feel like I have ALWAYS been dieting! I have tried the 6 week body makeover, Weight Watchers, Atkins, South Beach, diet pills, and more. It is NO wonder the weight loss industry makes such big money! I have contributed my fair share, that is for sure. A few months ago, my mom started the HCG diet. I was VERY skeptical about the diet and it just did not sound like a healthy option for a weight loss tool. However, watching my mom do it and be successful AND (the best part) keeping the weight off after she was off the HCG drops, I was impressed. Impressed, but not ready to try it. I was still scared and felt like it wasnt for me. Boy was I wrong. Now, I am actually kicking myself for not starting the diet sooner. My brother's fiance's mom (Dotti) let me borrow the book and I read it. That is when my life changed. I am currently in P3 and I am on D6, I love the experience and for me P3 feels like heaven! I will try to start from the beginning with my blog posts so I can offer some help to you P2'ers out there. I hope to post recipe ideas, interesting articles, VLOG's, updates and progress to this site and hope you will follow me! I will ad another post in a bit, but need to get a little work done first. :) My P2 experience will be posted soon. Until then, "make it a great day"
